I am 24 years old and have been flying RC for 17 years. My Dad has been flying for years and I was interested from the day I was born. When I went to the field with my Dad, I always kept my eyes glued to the airplane. When I was 5 years old, my Dad took me to the hobby shop and that is where I saw my first RC flight simulator. On my 6th birthday, my parents got me Realflight G3.5 and I practiced on that pretty much every day for about a year and went to several fly ins around the state of Michigan with my Dad. My first airplane was a 3-channel Hobbyzone Electric Super Cub. I practiced on that without landing. On my 7th birthday, I first soloed the Super Cub at a Fun Fly in Illinois. That same day I flew in a full scale Super Cub. For the rest of the year, I practiced taking off and landing on my Dad's old 4-channel Easy 2 trainer that is the exact same airplane my Dad learned on before I was born. When I was 8 years old I started to learn to fly my Dad's 50cc Yak 54. Once I got the hang of taking off and landing a giant scale airplane, I flew that airplane for about 2 years at many events. When I was 10 years old, I started to fly competition. My first contest was an IMAC competition in Basic class where I got 2nd place, and my second contest I got 1st place. Ever since then, I have been hooked in flying in competitions and many events and meeting great friends from all over the world. I would like to give a special thanks to my parents and all my sponsors!
